Microsoft Pre-sales Engineer (on-premises)

Microsoft Pre-sales Engineer is responsible for supporting the presales process by shaping and scoping deals to satisfy customer’s requirements. He works with account aligned sales teams to understand customer needs and requirements and leads delivery resources through the pre-sales activities of designing a solution to meet the customer needs.

Microsoft Pre-sales Engineer:
  • Is a key participant in driving the sales growth of solutions.
  • Supports opportunity qualification, scoping, estimating, costing, risk identification and mitigations, contract preparation.
  • Define and scope an appropriate solution to meet customer requirements.
  • Is responsible to drive the deal development process through various tools from the estimation to the engagement setup if the opportunity becomes a win.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft on-premise solutions, such as: FIS, System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), Microsoft Cluster Service (MSCS), Exchange, Hyper-V, BizTalk, SQL Server, SharePoint, etc,
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams,
  • Excellent client-facing skills,
  • Able to lead multi-task across multiple opportunities running in parallel.
  • Experience in sales, delivery/engagement/project management
